Randy Houser

Randy HouserUniversal South’s Randy Houser has started to make himself a name in country music with two big hits so far, “Anything Goes” back in 2008 and most recently the highly talked about “Boots On.” Houser is also a song writer, along with Jamey Johnson, co-wrote the popular song “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk” which went to number two for Trace Adkins in 2005.

The passion, enthusiasm and conviction in Randy Houser’s music is utterly irresistible. One listen to his soul-drenched singing is enough to convince you that you are in the presence of a masterful performer. One scan of his deeply felt lyrics is all the proof you need to see that this is a major songwriting talent.

Jamey Johnson

Jamey JohnsonHe could be basking in his songwriting accolades, but Jamey Johnson remains a restlessly creative maverick. Jamey is the co-writer of the CMA and ACM 2007 Song of the Year “Give It Away,” recorded by George Strait. Trace Adkins, George Jones and Joe Nichols have also recorded his songs.

But instead of sitting at home counting his royalty checks, Jamey Johnson recorded more than 40 songs during the past year. Not content with providing hits for others, the singer-songwriter has a powerful drive to sing, record and perform.

Johnson’s deep voice makes his music unmistakable and fans took right to it with his first chart appearance “The Dollar.” In 2009 Johnson got his second CMA Song of the Year award for “In Color.” His album, "That Lonesome Song" is a collection of extraordinary compositions that is equally noteworthy for its lyrical craftsmanship and its strikingly original sound.
